The AP reports the U.S. Senate has scheduled its first vote on gun control legislation this Thursday. The New York Times added that “nearly a dozen” Republican Senators stated they would not vote to stop any filibuster of the bill, and that a “deal” is imminent on record-keeping associated with gun purchases – as brokered by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa).
