The House Ethics Committee did not come to an agreement after a closed-door meeting about whether to release its report detailing the years-long investigation into allegations of sexual impropriety by former Rep. Matt Gaetz.
“There was not an agreement by the committee to release the report,” Chairman Michael Guest, R-Miss., told reporters on Wednesday. Ranking committee member Rep. Susan Wild, D-Pa., noted there was no consensus among members on how to move forward.
The deliberations come as Gaetz is being considered as the next attorney general under the incoming Trump administration. Read Full Story
