President Obama’s aides took to national television Sunday to say he was outraged by the growing scandal at VA hospitals. It appears, however, that President Obama has been aware of the underlying problems for six years.  The Washington Times reports that briefing materials provided to the Obama-Biden transition team in the weeks after the 2008 election warned of “unreliable performance data” from VA hospitals that causes delays and denials of care to veterans. National Review points out that Obama blasted President Bush in 2007 for “deplorable conditions at some VA hospitals.”
