FBI Director Says No Big Terror Threat in U.S.; Gunmen Take 170 Captives at Mali Hotel

FBI Director James Comey said on Thursday there was no credible threat of a Paris-style attack in the U.S., but his agency had taken terrorism investigations “up a notch,” reports Reuters. Meanwhile, the U.N. Security Council is about to declare a common war against ISIS and “eradicate” jihadists in Iraq and Syria, according to The Independent.
