House Republicans are making the lack of a formal cost estimate from the Congressional Budget Office a cornerstone of their argument against passing President Joe Biden’s sweeping social spending package. 

In raising Republican objections to the spending bill, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Friday told reporters at the Capitol that “the Congressional Budget Office has not shown the American people exactly how much this bill will cost.” Read Full Story

Republicans swept the statewide offices in Virginia, a state that had recently tantalized Democrat hopes of national dominance by swinging from red to purple to blue. Even if Phil Murphy ends up winning the governorship of New Jersey as troves of mail-in ballots are added to the totals when counting resumes Wednesday (a story replicating what happened in some swing states in 2020), the message is clear: The public does not want to enact the vision of the Squad as our new reality. Read Full Story

The Racine County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday detailed eight cases of election fraud in 2020 that took place at a nursing home.

The investigation began after a woman identified as “Judy” discovered that her mother, who died before the election, allegedly voted by absentee ballot in the final days of her life, despite experiencing “severe cognitive decline,” to the point that she did not recognize her daughter and had hallucinations. 

When she contacted the Ridgewood Care Facility where her mother had been living, asking how that happened, she was told the Wisconsin Elections Commission authorized the facility’s employees to execute the vote, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Luell, a former prosecutor, noting that is a “direct violation of the law.” Read Full Story
