Speaker John Boehner said the House will vote next week to delay two key pieces of ObamaCare — the individual and employer mandates, Politico reports. The move reflects a belief among Republicans that the Obama administration’s decision last week to postpone implementation of the employer mandate has helped shift the political landscape around the controversial program in the GOP’s favor. National Journal reports the votes also cause Democrats the conundrum of having to acknowledge a problem with ObamaCare or vote against an implementation delay that the White House has already conceded. Meanwhile, Sen. Marco Rubio has suggested Republicans reject stopgap measures to fund the government if Democrats do not agree to defund ObamaCare, according to The Hill.
