Incoming White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus attacked as “offensive crap” and “garbage” a newly reported document alleging that Russians might have had compromising information on President-elect Donald Trump.  “[It’s] offensive crap that we shouldn’t even be talking about,” Priebus said Wednesday on NBC’s “Today” program, reports The Washington Times.

As his confirmation hearings open Tuesday, Sen. Jeff Sessions, Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, faces major efforts to discredit him as being a racist; they are as diverse as NAACP protests and an unprecedented, historic move planned by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), to testify against his colleague. And yet, as Townhall reports, the day before Sessions’ first confirmation hearing, a group of black religious leaders from the Frederick Douglass Foundation and Family Research Council’s Watchmen on the Wall arrived on Capitol Hill to proclaim support for him.

The Senate Judiciary Committee will start a two-day hearing beginningJan. 10 to consider the nomination of President-elect Trump’s pick for attorney general, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. As Senate Republicans prepare for this as well as the confirmation process of the first half dozen nominees for Trump’s Cabinet in hearings scheduled for Jan. 11, Democrats are coordinating efforts to stall the process, reports the Washington Examiner.
