Republicans said Friday that they were attempting to set up a meeting between Donald Trump and Representative Paul D. Ryan, the House speaker. Trump said on Friday that he was “surprised” by the rebuke from Mr. Ryan on Thursday, and added that the party needed to come together, reports The New York Times.
