President Donald Trump has emerged as the most powerful president of either party in decades, wielding enormous clout within the GOP especially on Capitol Hill, where Republicans have rammed through his legislative agenda.

Trump has passed much of his domestic legislative agenda, crammed into his “big, beautiful bill,” faster than most lawmakers on Capitol Hill thought possible.

The Senate has confirmed 96 of Trump’s civilian nominees in short time, filling the Cabinet at the fastest pace in 20 years. The pace of confirmations during Trump’s first 100 days exceeded that set by three of the past four administration, including his first term, according to the Brookings Institution. Read Full Story

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is set to introduce legislation that would formally designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, financially crippling the global Islamist group and sanctioning its violent offshoots worldwide. 

The Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act of 2025 adopts “a new modernized strategy” for designating the organization, which preaches terrorism against Israel, the United States, and Western governments, according to a fact sheet about the bill.

The bill centers on active terrorist organizations, creating a legal framework to designate the Muslim Brotherhood writ large as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

“Cruz got it to a place where it was both in line with President Trump’s priorities while still being bipartisan,” the source explained. “The goal is to get it passed and implemented.” Read Full Story

President Donald Trump signed executive orders Monday extending a federal hiring freeze, ending subsidies for green energy sources, and pushing back the deadline for his “Liberation Day” tariffs. 

Trump extended the tariffs deadline until Aug. 1, exempted military personnel and positions related to immigration enforcement, national security, and public safety from the federal civilian hiring freeze, and ended clean energy tax credits expanded by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act signed by former President Joe Biden. Read Full Story
