Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Wednesday railed against the recent indictments of former President Donald Trump for his efforts to challenge the 2020 election, and accused prosecutors of being motivated by political bias.
“He’s being prosecuted in a way to make challenging an election a crime just for him,” Graham said.
“You can claim you were cheated if you’re a Democrat. If you claim you were cheated as a Republican, they’re going to try to put you in jail.”
Trump was indicted Monday in Georgia and also earlier this month on a federal level over actions regarding the 2020 presidential election. Read Full Story

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, flocked to former President Donald Trump’s side in the wake of his latest indictment in Georgia over his questioning of 2020 election results in the state.
“Justice should be blind, but Biden has weaponized government against his leading political opponent to interfere in the 2024 election,” McCarthy wrote in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Americans can see through this desperate sham.”
In a post on X Monday, Jordan called the indictment the “Democrats’ latest witch hunt” against Trump, adding the former president “did nothing wrong.”
The indictment against Trump and a group of 18 co-defendants brought a wide range of charges, including racketeering and conspiracy to commit election fraud. Read Full Story

Fox Business will hold the second debate of the 2024 Republican presidential contest, the Republican National Committee said Wednesday, making Fox outlets hosts of the party’s first two debates.
The second debate will be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation in Simi Valley, California, on Sept. 27, with partners Univision and video platform Rumble, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement.
“We are looking forward to continuing our fair, neutral, and transparent primary process in Simi Valley to elect the next president of the United States,” McDaniel said.
It’s unclear whether former President Donald Trump, frontrunner in the GOP race for the White House, will attend either debate. Read Full Story
