No-compromise gun rights groups are preparing to mount an aggressive campaign against any red flag legislation in Congress as a response to the elementary school massacre in Uvalde, Texas.
Such measures appear to be gaining some steam as a potential compromise between Democrats and Republicans, but opponents hope to use the same playbook to stop them that proved impactful in the past.

When anything goes wrong in America, our liberal friends are first on the hustings to assign the blame to corporations or right-wing extremists. If it’s soaring prices, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is the first to blame it on “corporate greed.” If some kid murders a bunch of elementary school kids, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer tweets that a “serious cause of gun violence [is] Domestic terrorism and white supremacy.”
But as I say to my liberal friends, if there is anything wrong in America today it is because of Youse Guys. Because you guys have been the ruling class in America for the last century and more.
That means that it is your ideas that run the country. And I mean your ideas, from soup to nuts. And anyone who disagrees with you… Well, we are not allowed to disagree, are we? Elon Musk won’t be the only person to change parties. Why? It’s well-documented Democrats have veered too far to the left — especially through controlling all levers of government.
As of this writing, generic Republicans lead generic Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterm elections by eight points, 47%-39%.
The first repudiation of the Biden administration’s policies came in the 2021 elections in Virginia and New Jersey last fall, where Republicans swept in the former and nearly flipped in the latter, respectively.
