A federal judge threw Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis in jail Thursday for civil contempt after her repeated refusals to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, reports USA Today. “My conscience will not allow it,” Davis told U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning. “God’s moral law convicts me and conflicts with my duties.”
