Stymied by Congress and the legislative process, President Obama proposed a host of new regulations on energy Tuesday, including new restrictions on existing coal plants and a condition for approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, reports Fox News. The editors at the WSJ calls it “one of the most extensive reorganizations of the U.S. economy since the 1930s, imposed through administrative fiat and raw executive power,” and quotes an Obama science advisor who told the NYT Monday, “a war on coal is exactly what’s needed.” See President Obama’s Press Release here.
