Senate Has “Deal” on Background Checks for Guns – Showdown Tomorrow

The Washington Post reports on a deal forged by Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) to increase background checks for gun purchases. The deal, opposed by the NRA, would be the most significant federal gun control legislation since the 1990s.
