Trump Signs Executive Actions on Energy, Trade, Hiring

President Donald Trump signed executive orders Monday extending a federal hiring freeze, ending subsidies for green energy sources, and pushing back the deadline for his “Liberation Day” tariffs. 

Trump extended the tariffs deadline until Aug. 1, exempted military personnel and positions related to immigration enforcement, national security, and public safety from the federal civilian hiring freeze, and ended clean energy tax credits expanded by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act signed by former President Joe Biden. Read Full Story
