Members of the news media are increasingly working together as they try to turn up the heat on President Trump’s White House.

On Thursday, more than 100 newspapers around the country are set to publish editorials in a coordinated push back against Trump’s repeated complaints of “fake news” and his remark that many in the press are the “enemy of the people.”

The Boston Globe initiated the campaign, and contacted local and national papers around the country to get them to join the effort… Reports the Washington Examiner

He’s Hoping Voters Forget His Own Myriad Problems

Barack Obama is the gift that keeps giving — to Donald Trump and the GOP.

Yesterday the former president — who left four Americans for dead in Benghazi then blamed a video — officially inserted himself into the midterm race tweeting endorsements of 81 Democratic candidates.

“I’m confident that, together, they’ll strengthen this country we love by restoring opportunity that’s broadly shared, repairing our alliances and standing in the world, and upholding our fundamental commitment to justice, fairness, responsibility and the rule of law,” Obama announced.

Perhaps the former White House occupant is inhaling more than cigarettes these days if he thinks any voter is buying the line that Democrats are upholding a “commitment to justice” — when it was his administration that destroyed public trust in our government institutions by weaponizing the IRS and U.S. Justice Department to target political opponents… Reports the Boston Herald

The five least popular senators, according to a Morning Consult poll, have all clashed with President Trump.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., leads the list with a 30 percent approval rating while a staggering 56 percent disapprove. Frequent Trump foil Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., comes next at 30 percent approval and 51 percent disapproval.

Perhaps more surprisingly, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has a 42 percent approval rating while 46 percent of Arizonans disapprove of his job performance. The next two are incumbents Trump and the GOP are actively targeting for defeat in November. Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., stands at 40 percent approval and 44 percent disapproval. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., is deadlocked at 44 percent apiece… Reports the Washington Examiner
