Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., announced legislation Monday to stop Homeland Security from offering “parole” to migrants whom the government has flagged as terrorists or who are deemed “special interest” because of their origin and travel patterns. 

“Joe Biden and Senate Democrats’ refusal to secure the southern border has resulted in the loss of American lives, and as long as migrants with criminal records and potential terrorist ties are being let into the country, our national security is at risk,” said Daines, who is joined by eight GOP senators in sponsoring the bill.

Parole has become the Biden administration’s chief tool for catch-and-release, with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas inventing multiple new programs that circumvent the usual immigration process to siphon people into the U.S.

Daines’ bill has already drawn support from Heritage Action, the Immigration Accountability Project, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, NumbersUSA, and the America First Policy Institute. Read More Here

The House on Wednesday formally authorized a task force to investigate the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. 

House lawmakers voted unanimously to approve a resolution to create the 13-member task force of seven Republicans and six Democrats. 

House Speaker Mike Johnson said the panel will have subpoena power and will produce a final report by Dec. 13, with interim reports along the way. Read Full Story

Former President Donald Trump weighed in on Truth Social about President Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race, calling the move fraudulent, dirty politics. 

“The Democrats pick a candidate, Crooked Joe Biden, he loses the Debate badly, then panics, and makes mistake after mistake, is told he can’t win, and decide they will pick another candidate, probably Harris,” Trump wrote in a slew of posts after Biden announced he wouldn’t seek reelection.

“They stole the race from Biden after he won it in the primaries — A First! These people are the real threat to democracy!”
