President Trump hoped for “very positive” openings with Moscow as he held more than two hours of direct dialogue Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the man believed to have ordered a campaign to influence the U.S. presidential election, reports The Washington Post. It was Trump’s first face-to-face talk with the Russian leader.

President Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in person on Friday at the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, reports the U.S. News and World Report. It is unclear if the two have ever met before in person. But the meeting is hotly anticipated, given the cloud of suspicion around Moscow following its alleged interference in the 2016 campaign.
