Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., is requesting the Justice Department appoint a special counsel to investigate President Joe Biden for withholding military aid to Israel, as House Republicans criticize the president for weakening U.S. support for the Jewish state.
Tenney sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland Wednesday asking him to review Biden’s decision to withhold an arms transfer that would aid Israel’s offensive in Rafah.
After signing the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act into law last month that allocated over $26 billion for Israel, Tenney said the president’s decision undermines the “principles of separation of powers” given to Congress. Read More Here

Speaker Mike Johnson will appear at the Manhattan courthouse Tuesday as former President Donald Trump sits for another day of his hush money trial.
Johnson is the latest Republican lawmaker to visit the court amid Trump’s ongoing criminal trial, which has kept him largely off the campaign trail as he vies for another term in the White House.
Republican Sens. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama and JD Vance of Ohio and Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York attended the court proceedings on Monday to support Trump. Read Full Story

The House Judiciary Committee is aiming to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide audio recordings of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who investigated his handling of classified documents.
Hur determined Biden did mishandle classified documents while vice president, but declined to prosecute him because he appeared to be a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Audio of the interview could shed additional light on the president’s mental fitness or other aspects not captured through a written transcript. Read More Here
