CBS News/YouGov poll of people who watched President Trump’s address to Congress found 76 percent of viewers approved of the speech and 82 percent found it “presidential.” Seventy-one percent of viewers — and even 36 percent of Democrats — found the speech “unifying,” according to the poll. A CNN/ORC poll of speech-watchers found about 70 percent made them feel more optimistic about the direction of the country and nearly two-thirds felt Trump had the right priorities, reports Politico.

As the world awaits President Trump’s speech Tuesday night on Capitol Hill, a new Politico/Morning Consult poll shows that 56 percent of 2,000 registered voters polled Feb. 24 through Feb. 26 say that Trump is keeping his campaign promises, and 66 percent say Trump has accomplished what was expected of him, or more. Overall, half of voters approve of what Trump is doing as president, while 45 percent disapprove.

Trump administration officials believe that a Department of Homeland Security report that undercut the president’s position on his travel ban was drafted by Obama administration loyalists inside the department’s office of intelligence and analysis, then leaked to the press. So says a source close to the department, reports The Washington Times.
