The hedge fund Renaissance Technologies, founded by James Simons, donated over $13 million to Sen. Ted Cruz’s now defunct presidential campaign. Now, Rennaissance Technologies has thus far donated over $2 milion to Hillary Clinton’s campaign; moreover, Simons’ other organization, Euclidean Capital, has given the Clinton campaign over $7 million in contributions, a figure likely to increase, reports the Observer.
