Lawyers who helped the Obama White House craft and hold to rules of conduct believe President Donald Trump and his staff are breaking ethics norms meant to guard against government politicization, and have formed a new group to fight them, reports Politico.

Edward Price, the former CIA official who resigned as National Security Council spokesman earlier this month, wrote an op-ed published in The Washington Post on Monday, claiming that his resignation was because of President Trump’s “disturbing actions,” and had “nothing to do with politics.” He failed to mention, however, that he gave thousands of dollars to Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful presidential campaign against Trump last fall, reports The Daily Caller.

USA Today reports that the Department of Homeland Security issued a dramatically broad set of orders Tuesday to fulfill President Trump’s plan to increase immigration enforcement, placing most of America’s 11 million illegal aliens at risk of deportation. The memos require undocumented immigrants to be placed in detention until their cases are resolved, increase the ability of local police to help in immigration enforcement, call for the hiring of 10,000 more immigration agents and allow planning to begin on an expansion of the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
