A day after Mexico’s president, Enrique Peña Nieto, canceled a trip to Washington because of a furor in his country over President Trump’s order to build a border wall, Trump on Friday hosts British Prime Minister Theresa May at the White House, where they are expected to discuss NATO, Russia and a possible bilateral free-trade agreement, reports Reuters. The meeting is Trump’s first as president with a foreign leader.

Business Insider reports that the Mexican peso just tumbled after President Donald Trump tweeted about NAFTA. Trump tweeted on Thursday: “The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico. It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.” Anonymous sources have stated that the Mexican administration was “considering” scrapping a scheduled meeting with Trump to protest his demand of payment for the border wall.
