ObamaCare Database: a Snooper’s Paradise

Mon Jul 22, 2013 AT 10:30 AM EDT

Obamacare will create a huge national repository of personal information — “and the problem is that this information doesn’t have a lot of safeguards,” Rep. Diane Black warned Newsmax in an exclusive interview last month. Now Rare reports on Sunday the repository is called the Federal Data Services Hub and its purpose, according to a June 2013 GAO report, is to provide “electronic, near real-time access to federal data” and “access to state and third party data sources needed to verify consumer-eligibility information.” HHS said, according to Investor’s Business Daily, the ObamaCare data hub will “interact” with seven other federal agencies. “The federal government is planning to quietly enact what could be the largest consolidation of personal data in the history of the republic,” noted Stephen Parente, a University of Minnesota finance professor.
