President Trump called special counsel Robert Mueller a “true Never Trumper.”

“I think he is a total conflicted person. I think Mueller is a true Never Trumper,” Trump said Thursday in comments on the South Lawn. “He is somebody that dislikes Donald Trump. He is somebody that didn’t get a job that he requested that he wanted very badly. And then he was appointed.”

Trump complained that Mueller and he had a business dispute that caused the special counsel to dislike him.

“As you know I had a business dispute with him after he left the FBI. We had a business dispute. Not a nice one, he wasn’t happy with what I did. I don’t blame him but I had to do it because that was the right thing to do,” Trump said. Read Full Story

More Americans now say President Donald Trump has the personality and leadership qualities a president should have than they did two years ago, according to a new poll.

Forty percent of Americans surveyed in the Gallup Poll released Tuesday said that Trump has presidential qualities. That percentage has risen from 33% in 2017.

The new Gallup poll of 1,024 adults was conducted between April 17-30. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points. Read Full Story

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday he believes President Donald Trump was correct when he suggested former secretary of state John Kerry violated the Logan Act.

“It’s true. I was there in Munich . . . I saw not only Kerry . . . [others] met with the Iranian leadership,” Pompeo said during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.” “It’s unusual, but more importantly, it’s wrong.”

The secretary was commenting an explosive assertion from Trump earlier this month that Kerry committed a treasonous action when he reportedly was engaged in secret talks with Iranian diplomats in an attempt to salvage the Iranian nuclear deal after the current administration nixed it. 

“What I would like to see with Iran, I would like to see them call me. John Kerry, he speaks to them a lot. John Kerry tells them not to call. That is a violation of the Logan Act. And frankly, he should be prosecuted on that,” Trump said.

The Logan Act forbids unauthorized persons from negotiating with foreign governments. Read Full Story
