Heritage Action, a conservative grassroots organization, announced a six-figure ad campaign to push for the confirmation of President-elect Donald Trump’s picks for his Cabinet. 

The campaign will run in nine states where senators could make or break the confirmation process. 

The ads, which continue through the end of the year, prompt residents to sign a petition that urges senators to confirm Trump’s picks. Read Full Story

Capitol Hill Republicans are clamoring to get in on the action after President-elect Donald Trump put Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in charge of his administration’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE). 

“I think there probably will be some friction,” said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who is set to chair a subcommittee related to DOGE and its efforts. “Some appropriators really want to continue funding.” 

She added that lawmakers had a “serious mandate” from voters which she hoped would give lawmakers “tremendous courage to do the right thing.” Read Full Story

House Speaker Mike Johnson on Monday rebuked President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter, criticizing the president’s move Sunday to grant him clemency despite previously promising not to do so. 

“Last night [Biden] suddenly granted a ‘Full and Unconditional Pardon’ for any and all offenses that Hunter committed for more than a decade! Trust in our justice system has been almost irreparably damaged by the Bidens and their use and abuse of it,” Johnson posted on X. 

A host of members of the president’s own party, including multiple Senate Democrats, have joined Republicans in slamming the pardon. Read Full Story
