Texas Sen. John Cornyn, the lead Republican negotiator of a bipartisan gun safety framework, said Wednesday that some issues still need to be ironed out and warned the package may have to be slimmed down in order to get a bill passed.

Cornyn said he’s “starting to get a little concerned” about the impasse over “a couple of issues that need to be settled before we can reach an agreement.”  Read Full Story

The January 6 committee is pure political theater intended to crush the MAGA movement once and for all.

During another public hearing on Monday, the January 6 select committee 

featured a witness so irrelevant that his appearance should prompt even the most ardent defender of Nancy Pelosi’s illegitimate inquisition to question the committee’s real purpose. Former Fox News talking head Chris Stirewalt, fired by the network shortly after the Capitol protest for calling the state of Arizona for Joe Biden early on election night, told his sob story to a presumably slim viewing audience.

The washed-up commentator, however, is the last person with any insight into the events of January 6, 2021. Stirewalt’s performance — similar to the overwrought speechifying by committee members last Thursday — is another head-fake designed to turn attention away from the truth about what happened that day and in the months leading up to the brief disturbance that resulted in the deaths of four Trump supporters. Read Full Story

The commander of the Pentagon’s Northern Command recently told Congress that the United States faces growing threats of attack from China, Russia, and North Korea.

Air Force Gen. Glen D. VanHerck said the combination of missile threats, cyberattacks, and information warfare indicates Northcom “is facing the most dynamic and strategically complex set of challenges in the history of the command.”

“Quite bluntly, my ability to conduct the missions assigned to U.S. Northcom and NORAD has eroded and continues to erode,” he told the Senate Armed Services Committee May 18. The four-star general is also head of the U.S.-Canada North American Aerospace Defense command. Read Full Story
