Eleven GOP senators on Monday voted against advancing a nearly $40 billion aid package for Ukraine despite significant bipartisan support.

The Republican senators opposed to the plan were Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), John Boozman (Ark.), Mike Braun (Ind.), Mike Crapo (Idaho), Bill Hagerty (Tenn.), Josh Hawley (Mo.), Mike Lee (Utah), Cynthia Lummis (Wyo.), Roger Marshall (Kan.), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Tommy Tuberville (Ala.).

Eighty-one other senators from both sides of the aisle voted in favor of the package.

The measure had been stalled in the chamber after easily passing the House last week because of an objection by Paul. The vote in the Senate on Monday to end debate on a motion to proceed sets up a final vote on the aid package later this week. Read Full Story

A Republican lawmaker on Thursday said illegal immigrants detained by Border Patrol have access to hard-to-find baby formula, while U.S. parents scramble from store to store.

A post on Twitter by Rep. Kat Cammack of Florida shows a photo of empty store shelves in her state alongside a photo of pallets of baby formula that she says are at the Ursula Migrant Processing Center in McAllen, Texas.

Dozens of baby formula brands, including Nido and Advantage, can be seen in the photo. Cammack says the photo was shared with her by a Customs and Border Protection agent who worked in his job for 30 years. Read Full Story

The Ultra-MAGA label — they’ll take it!

Those whom President Joe Biden branded derisively “Ultra-MAGA” on Tuesday were quick to embrace it and warn Democrats that waging war on the Trump agenda was tantamount to waging war on the American dream.

“I’m proud to be an Ultra-MAGA,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz, Florida Republican. ”The president’s remarks signify a true shift. He’s moving away from an indictment of President [Donald] Trump specifically to now trying to indict an entire political movement that they fear.” Read Full Story
